Apaltagua Gran Reserva Envero 2017 Bottle
|Region||Chile, Colchagua, Apalta Valley|
James SucklingThis is an impressive carmenere with the more usual peppercorn character cast across dark licorice, peppermint, dark plums and cherries. Full-bodied with ripe and round tannins, a good layering of acidity and a medium-chewy finish. Drink in 2022.
Wine SpectatorThis ripe version is full of concentrated dark fruit and spice flavors, with notes of dried mint. Baker's chocolate details show on the finish. Drink now through 2022.
