J. Koll & Cie. Liebfraumilch 2015
Liebfraumilch, German for "beloved lady's milk" in reference to the Virgin Mary, is a style of semi-sweet white German wine. The name was originally given to wines from the vineyards of the Liebfrauenkirche (Church of The Beloved Lady) in the city of Worms, in the Rheinhessen region. These were once among the most expensive wines made in Europe. However, in 1910 the Worms Chamber of Commerce allowed the title to be used across Rheinhessen, Pfalz, Nahe and Rheingau. In addition, the grapes used must be at least 70% Riesling, Silvaner, Kerner or Müller-Thurgau.
