Domaine J. Boulon Beaujolais Vieilles Vignes 2016Staff Comments: This is an “old vine” Beaujolais from France and just tasty! Do NOT think of the sweeter Nouveaus you’ve had; this has finesse and elegance. Ripe red raspberries and cassis on the nose. It’s lighter in style, 100% Gamay, but just intense. A hint of Gala Apples, mulberries, licorice, and cinnamon. Serve this with Pasta Primavera, Macaroni & Cheese with bacon and Buffalo Mozzarella. An Argonaut Select Product Absolutely Gorgeous! Dark ruby red in color. Aromas of raspberries, black cherry mingle along notes of rose pedal and touches of forest. Rainier cherries and wild raspberries with hints of plum and fig are soft and upfront. This is such an elegant representation of Beaujolais, not your typical quaffing table wine. It has body, character and a level of depth only found in wines triple the cost. A good wine should tell a story and this one definitely accomplishes just that. With medium body and soft velvety textures balanced with just a hint of acidity it finishes with Forest fruits, hints of vanilla and touches of smoke. This would pair really well with BBQ short ribs or a good brisket. If your a fan of a good Pinot Noir , looking to branch out and try something new, this is the wine for you!

Cave De Bissey Crémant De Bourgogne Méthode Traditionnelle Brut 2014This is a brut French sparkling wine that is gorgeous! A blend of Aligoté, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. There is a lot of minerality in this. It’s dry, it’s crisp, it’s outstanding! Stone fruit, slate, lime zest, a touch of melon with a chalky, brioche finish. Argiano Non Confunditur 2016NC is a wine with a decisive, full-bodied character, smooth tannins and a persistent finish. This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah andSangiovese reveals an exciting potency, with the innate gentleness of Merlot creating a bridge between the evident earthiness of Sangiovese, the aromatic blackcurrant flavour of Cabernet and the warm red berries of Syrah. The result is a generous, rounded red wine, destined for short to medium ageing, with delicious aromas of currants and generous fruit flavours, versatile enough to develop in greater depth during long months in the bottle.

Chateau Rieussec SAUTERNES GUILD 375ml 2016 375ml– Staff Comments: A gorgeous white Bordeaux of 98% Semillon and 2% Muscadelle. This is semi-sweet and not cloying. Layers of honeysuckle, jasmine, guava, pear necatra nd candied melon balls. The perfect after dinner drink! Pair this with chocolate nousse, strawberries and cream or baked brie in a puff pastry. The finish goes on and on. An Argonaut Select Product With the prestige of having the Rothschild name you would expect elegance. And this desert wine from Bordeaux definitely does not disappoint. Shimmering shades of golden sun in the glass. Aromas of anjou pear, golden raisins, butterscotch and toffee. A bright citrus note that quickly evolves into toasted vanilla, pears, meyer lemons and hints of Apricot. It's not always easy balancing the sweet wines of Sauternes with touches of acidity and fresh fruit notes, but they've nailed it here. Absolutely stunning!!!!! Serve chilled with Brandy pears and blue cheese.

Locations E5The interplay of provenance, artistry, freedom, and creativity is what inspires us at Locations. With the Iberian Peninsula serving as a backdrop, this fertile ground allowed us to incorporate these attributes into the fourth release of our Spanish offering. Much like generations of craftsmen before us, we were intent to capture the nobility of Spain through its geographic diversity. Fruit with Mediterranean and Continental influences was sourced from five regions in particular: Priorat, Jumilla, Toro, Rioja, and Ribera del Duero. Old vines, low yields, and a palate attuned to excellence, work in harmony and enable us to reach our goal of producing a great wine, from the best locations in the world.
