Masciarelli Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2016
|Region||Italy, Abruzzo, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo|
Jeb DunnuckA terrific value is the 2015 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, a little gem of a wine based on Montepulciano brought up all in stainless. Loaded with notions of rich cherry and blackberry fruit, leafy herbs, and tobacco, it’s medium-bodied, textured, fruit forward, and incredibly delicious.
Wine SpectatorA balanced, light- to medium-bodied red, with black raspberry, dusty sage and citrus notes, layered with light, chewy tannins. Drink now. 43,000 cases imported.
Wine EnthusiastAromas of blistered cherry and berry carry a slight tone of crushed herbs on the nose. This is light and easy in feel, driven by tart red fruit on the palate and supported by slightly gritty tannins and juicy acidity.
All sizes are 750ml unless otherwise stated.
